An Ode to the Poachers Pocket!
In the market town of Haslemere, lies a gorgeous little place,
It’s the Poachers Pocket restaurant, it’s away from today’s “rat race”,
It’s situated in Petworth Road, to visit is a must,
As it serves the finest food, it’s a restaurant you can trust!
To start I like the chicken liver pate, or the homemade soup of the day,
Then on to the rump of lamb, or a bavette steak made the Poachers Pocket way,
Whatever I decide to have, I know it will be the best,
If you don’t believe my words, just put them to the test!
To finish I like the crème catalan of the fig, honey and sponge tart,
Both are equally tempting, these recipes come straight from the heart,
But there are many other choices, I haven’t mentioned here,
Plus an excellent choice of wine and drinks and also a nice cold beer!
This restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday, so do please give it a try,
You’ll leave the Poachers Pocket uplifted, if not on a natural high,
The service, the charm and the good, are simply second to none,
You’ll find your dining experience, a whole lot of fun!
