Poachers Pocket started in the autumn of 97; Haslemere was a different town. The shops that were open sold mainly antiques.

Times change and Haslemere has a younger feel, chains like Costa and Fat Face along with boutiques adorn the High Street. The new image brings fresh dining habits. People treat restaurant eating as part of daily life. However, people are also more aware of their health and animal welfare. Poachers Pocket has always tried to buy sustainable and environmentally sound produce; we are also making an effort to offer more vegetarian items.

At Poachers Pocket Sharyn and Louisa have always tried to adapt and move with the times. As the economic climate is ever more gloomy and everyone is finding their everyday living costs spirally, we also have to be aware of what we produce and the availability of certain product. With this in mind we endeavour to produce an imaginative menu at reasonable prices. Our specials board includes at least two fish items and a meat special.
